Protecting Our Students From Online Predators Parents, we need to talk about something difficult. S*xtortion cases have exploded from 44,000 in 2021 to over 500,000 last year. That's 28 cases a day in Kentucky alone. Good kids are facing life-altering consequences in as little as 45 minutes after meeting the wrong person online. These are honor students, athletes, kids who've never broken a rule. This week, we're offering our Online Parent Challenge featuring Detective Mike Lemon to help you protect your child before something happens. The training takes just 30 minutes and gives you the tools you need. We care about keeping your kids safe. Don't wait. …And it starts TODAY (April 13th) and Ends Midnight FRIDAY (April 17th). To claim your chance to win PRIZES all you will have to do is: #1: Click on this link: https://bit.ly/kyhardin #2: Watch the video 1 time during this week #3: Click on the link to the Survey Link (it will pop up after you watch the video) #4: Fill out the Survey Are you ready to keep your kids safe and put a gas card in your pocket? We will send out more information tomorrow, so make sure you watch out for it.

LTES Families, below is the link to the LTES Scholastic Book Fair website where you will find the link to setup an ewallet for the book fair. Please consider doing this instead of sending in cash. Please make sure to set up eWallets before the day your child's class is set to attend because the sheets are printed every morning before school. Homeroom teachers will let you know what day the class is signed up to attend. Thanks for your help.

Good afternoon, families!

First, I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of you for your support and assistance during NTI Day 3. It was great to join several Google Meets today and see many of our students engaged in excellent instruction from our teachers and staff.

As we continue, I’d like to remind you that tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th, will also be a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day. It is important that students log into their class Google Meets for meaningful instruction and assistance with their Day 4 packet. Each grade level has one designated block of time for Google Meets to focus on reading and math instruction. Please see the attached graphic for the schedule of Google Meet times.

If you have any questions about how to access your child's Google Meet session, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher for guidance.

For any other questions or additional support, you can contact the following staff members:

Kelly Blair, Guidance Counselor
Jennifer Williams, Family Resource Coordinator
DeMarcus Compton, Assistant Principal
Kelly Miller, Principal

Once again, we deeply appreciate everyone’s effort and support. As always, it’s a great day to be a Bruin!

Stay warm,

Mrs. Miller
