Remember daily attendance is important for the academic learning of our students. That includes arriving on time and staying the full school day. Students MUST be inside the building by 7:30 to prevent them from being tardy. We kindly ask for your help in arriving on time each day!

We encourage our students to attend school every day, but especially on Tuesday, September 9, 2025! Bragging rights are on the line in our district-wide competition!!! Great attendance that day helps HCS as we compete with other districts in Kentucky.

welcome preschool
We are excited to welcome our preschool students tomorrow, Thursday! Quick reminder for Kg-5th grade parents, please do not park in the car rider line before 1:15 PM. Our preschool parents need to be able to access the car rider line during that time as they dismiss at 1:00 PM . Thank you for your help with this!

In order to keep our morning car rider line running efficiently and safely, please follow the tips below: 🚗pull all the way forward - unloading begins at the orange cones (see pic below) 🚙stay in your vehicle - students ONLY must exit on the passenger side onto the sidewalk - parents should not be getting out of the vehicle, this a safety issue 🚗keep the line moving - we must close the gaps between cars to decrease traffic on US 62 🚙students should be ready to exit the car with their bookbag on once the vehicle comes to a complete stop 🚗pay attention to adult directions from the sidewalks We appreciate your help with the morning car rider process! We want to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families. 🩵🐻💛
